You have to have content worth reading about, and most of that won’t have to do with other blogs for most people. If you don’t write well, no one will come back even if you do have interesting content.

I think I fall mostly into 11, not from my writing but just my content. I need to work at separating the personal update aspect of my blog from the interesting content.
