Arm the FireFox for Internet Marketing
I’d much prefer using one browser, however, it seems inevitable that I use 3 browsers (Mozilla FireFox, Internet Explorer, Flock) in the course of Internet marketing.Not necessarily because I want to, but because I have to.
If I had a choice, I’d probably go with Mozilla Firefox.
FireFox also happens to be the name of a Clint Eastwood movie. For those who were around in 1982, you might rememeber the Soviet advanced fighter that could:
- flies at 6 times the speed of sound
- was invulnerable to radar
- worst of all – has a lethally sophisticated weapons system that the pilot can control through thought impulses. As soon as the pilot detects a threat – either visually or on a scope – his thought impulses will direct a missile to that threat, without so much as pushing a button”
Sounds cool, doesn’t it. My FireFox browser can do the same things too (well except the “6 times the speed of sound” bit)
But my Firefox is even better, because I like the fact that you can install plug-ins into it. Some really useful ones like the:
- performancing for firefox (very useful for bloggers)
- FasterFox browser accelerator
- SearchStatus which gives you the Google PageRank and Alexa ranking on the pages you visit
- Greasemonkey allows you to add scripting capabilities to FireFox. There’s a range of add-ons for greasemonkey, though I haven’t added them in yet.
- You can find a whole bunch of scripts you can use with greasemonkey here: Userscripts.org.
By the way, if you’re a FireFox user, you may want to note that there’s new versions of FireFox out.
