Hi Andy,
tks for the heads-up.

the WP team’s updates have been info-focus, rather than hype-focused, so i took the ‘almost here’ as a fact.

i use wordpress more as a communications and branding platform, so i’ll rely on updates from those in the WP know, rather than subscriber to all the associated bugtracs, updates, dev versions and the like.

nice blogging-related posts on yr blog.

2.0.6 from what I have read will be soon. 2.1 is on the horizon, but that is still some distance away, hardly a stones throw.

There is lots of information if you subscribe to the mailing lists, IRC, and explore trac and SVN depositories.

Developers have been running 2.1 for ages.

The guest article was just to nudge plugin developers to look at their code and give them some useful tips.
