{"id":129,"date":"2006-10-18T18:56:31","date_gmt":"2006-10-18T10:56:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.whoisandrewwee.com\/129\/digital-keiretsu-strategies-workshop\/"},"modified":"2006-10-18T18:56:31","modified_gmt":"2006-10-18T10:56:31","slug":"digital-keiretsu-strategies-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/whoisandrewwee.com\/digitalkeiretsu\/digital-keiretsu-strategies-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"DigitalKeiretsu.com Strategies workshop a smashing success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s not often that Internet people meet up, so I decided to do a small experiment.<\/p>\n<p>I posted a thread in my DigitalKeiretsu.com forum: <a title=\"DigitalKeiretsu.com strategy training for Internet Money Secrets\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.digitalkeiretsu.com\/dkforum\/showthread.php?t=150\"><strong>DigitalKeiretsu.com strategy training for Internet Money Secrets<\/strong><\/a> announcing a workshop which would bring together 4 Internet Marketing specialists.<\/p>\n<p>If it worked out, I would continue to organise a series of Internet marketing-related training for the DigitalKeiretsu group.<\/p>\n<p>This is a series of workshops intended to help increase the level of skill incompetency of the DigitalKeiretsu members who have a wide range of skill levels from beginner to intermediate.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m glad I did.<\/p>\n<p>Last night&#8217;s session was a <strong>smashing success<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p><img title=\"DigitalKeiretsu.com strategies workshop crowd\" alt=\"DigitalKeiretsu.com strategies workshop crowd\" src=\"http:\/\/www.whoisandrewwee.com\/images\/blog0610\/DKcrowd.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--adsense#wide--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Alief (AliefHamdani.com) talking to Angie and Chi. Hmm&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Besides myself the other trainers were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rachit Dayal<\/li>\n<li>Garry Lee<\/li>\n<li>Ryan Chua<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Topics that were covered included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>traffic generation<\/li>\n<li>forum strategies<\/li>\n<li>a comprehensive overview of pay per click advertising<\/li>\n<li>the Internet Marketing mindset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><!--adsense#wide-->Here&#8217;re some highlights from my presentation on the <strong>Five Approaches to Internet marketing<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Head vs Heart<\/strong>: Does your communication content mainly from the head (intellectual, factual) or from the heart (emotional, sentimental).  Does this work for your audience? <em>Would a blend between the two approaches be even more effective<\/em>?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Grow a business versus short-term profits<\/strong>: are you in Internet marketing for the long haul and are you willing to take a loss if it means being able to retain a customer or would you rather take a profit and potentially lose a customer?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Problem-based or solution based (This could be the most critical towards your Internet marketing success)<\/strong>: Do you constantly seen obstacles in your path and does that the get you disheartened?
