{"id":173,"date":"2006-11-05T11:15:59","date_gmt":"2006-11-05T03:15:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.whoisandrewwee.com\/173\/blog-template-regulus\/"},"modified":"2006-11-05T11:15:59","modified_gmt":"2006-11-05T03:15:59","slug":"blog-template-regulus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/whoisandrewwee.com\/blogging\/blog-template-regulus\/","title":{"rendered":"Switch to Regulus Business Template"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As you&#8217;ll note, I have a new corporate-looking template, <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"Regulus blog template\" href=\"http:\/\/www.binarymoon.co.uk\/2005\/11\/regulus-new-wordpress-theme-released\/\">Regulus by Binary Moon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>What might take a new blogger about 30 seconds to do (switching the theme in the Theme selector) took me a few hours to port over all over analytics tools, additional plugins and SEO-enhancements (detailed in SecretBlogWeapon).<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Regulus\" title=\"Regulus\" src=\"http:\/\/www.whoisandrewwee.com\/images\/blog0611\/reguluspreview.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Switching themes has given a number of advantages too.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><!--adsense#wide--><\/p>\n<p>With this switch, I&#8217;ll more easily be able to set up:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Links pages (For link exchanges)<\/li>\n<li>Article pages<\/li>\n<li>Blog content aggregation (a manual group of related posts would work better than the WordPress plugins)<\/li>\n<li>And finally a good contact form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I like this blog because there&#8217;re a number of options that can be customized.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re particularly proficient in HTML or PHP, a number of settings can be changed from the theme editor, without having to geting up to your waist in code.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll continue to refine the template over the next couple of days.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As you&#8217;ll note, I have a new corporate-looking template, Regulus by Binary Moon.
