Pat defines it as:<\/p>\n<p><em>Blogs that focus on affiliate marketing, display advertising, contextual advertising, and actually helping people generate revenue in these ways by running their own site<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Pat&#8217;s compiled a list of 28 blogs and as an inaugural participant, landed in a #10.<\/p>\n<p>The top blogs include the usual suspects like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.problogger.net\" title=\"darren rowse\" target=\"_blank\">ProBlogger Darren Rowse<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shoemoney.com\" title=\"shoemoney\" target=\"_blank\">Jeremy &#8220;Shoemoney&#8221; Schoemaker<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jensense.com\" title=\"jensense\" target=\"_blank\">JenSense<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.johnchow.com\" title=\"johnchow\" target=\"_blank\">JohnChow<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/affiliate-blogs.5staraffiliateprograms.com\/\" title=\"5 star affiliate blog\" target=\"_blank\">Linda Buquet&#8217;s 5 Star Affiliate Blog<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.affiliatetip.com\/blog\/\" title=\"shawn collins\" target=\"_blank\">Shawn Collins<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As well as other notables like WickedFire malcontent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aojon.com\" title=\"jon f wickedfire affiliate marketing blog\" target=\"_blank\">Jon &#8220;aojon&#8221; F<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jonwaraas.com\/\" title=\"jon warass\" target=\"_blank\">Jon Warass<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jangro.com\" title=\"scott jangro\" target=\"_blank\">Scott Jangro<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cumbrowski.com\/\" title=\"carsten cumbrowski\" target=\"_blank\">Carsten Cumbrowski<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.costpernews.com\" title=\"cost per news sam harrelson\" target=\"_blank\">Sam Harrelson<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tylercruz.com\" title=\"tyler cruz\" target=\"_blank\">TylerCruz<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.webpublishingblog.com\/\" title=\"andrew johnson\" target=\"_blank\">Andrew Johnson<\/a>, Stuart (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.earnersblog.com\/\" title=\"earners blog\" target=\"_blank\">Earners Blog<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Awards are nice, though I don&#8217;t place much emphasis on going out to land them.<\/p>\n<p>The publicity always helps if it bring more people who might get something from the content I post.<\/p>\n<p>Peer recognition is something<!--more--> I value above all else.<\/p>\n<p>Ken&#8217;s used 2 metrics that I&#8217;m not familiar with: Compete and Quantcast. Getting better rankings would likely involve inserting tracking code and optimizing content for traffic from those sources. At the same time, inserting more tracking code will slow down page loading for visitors.
