{"id":603,"date":"2008-05-22T03:51:20","date_gmt":"2008-05-21T19:51:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.whoisandrewwee.com\/email-marketing\/analytics-enhanced-aweber-autoresponder-service-accompanied-by-huge-price-increase\/"},"modified":"2008-05-22T03:51:20","modified_gmt":"2008-05-21T19:51:20","slug":"analytics-enhanced-aweber-autoresponder-service-accompanied-by-huge-price-increase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/whoisandrewwee.com\/email-marketing\/analytics-enhanced-aweber-autoresponder-service-accompanied-by-huge-price-increase\/","title":{"rendered":"Analytics-enhanced Aweber Autoresponder Service Accompanied by Huge Price Increase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I signed up with Aweber for my email marketing solution when I started out 2 years ago and have been generally happy with their deliverability rates.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whoisandrewwee.com\/podcasts\/friday-podcast-email-marketing-tips-with-the-aweber-autoresponder\/\" title=\"friday podcast\" target=\"_blank\">Friday Podcast<\/a>, Aweber education marketing manager Justin Premick alluded to some forthcoming enhancements to their services and it looks like they made the announcement today.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the enhanced email analystics tools:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>See exactly when subscribers open your message so you can focus on the right time to send your message.<\/li>\n<li>Send a broadcast to only subscribers who didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t open or click on your previous broadcast.<\/li>\n<li>Send a broadcast to only subscribers who did click on your order page, but didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t order.<\/li>\n<li>See which subscribers are responding to your campaigns \u00e2\u20ac\u201d which messages they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re opening, which links they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re visiting, and where on your website they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re going after clicking through.<\/li>\n<li>Target subscribers by sending broadcasts to only those who responded (or didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t respond) by clicking or opening a specific message or link.<\/li>\n<li>Track revenue generated by campaigns and subscribers to see which subscribers and campaigns are making you money.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Together with click tracking, campaign reporting, email tracking, email ROI reporting and other features.<\/p>\n<p>The old package cost $179.40 for 10,000 list members for a year. The analytics-enhanced service costs $69 per month for 10,000 list members.<\/p>\n<p>With about a 362% increase in their prices, email marketers will have to decide if they need the enhanced analytics functions.<\/p>\n<p>In an exchange between marketer Kevin Riley and Aweber founder\/CEO Tom Kulzer, Kevin mentioned in a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kevinriley\/statuses\/816327215\" title=\"kevin riley\" target=\"_blank\">twitter update<\/a> that existing customers can choose to remain on their existing plan.<\/p>\n<p>Are the enhanced analytics going to be worth the upgrade?<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m keen to hear some feedback from other marketers before making a decision.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content-wrapper\" style=\"margin: 20px auto; width: 90%\">\n<p class=\"right-column\" style=\"margin-left: 35px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I signed up with Aweber for my email marketing solution when I started out 2 years ago and have been generally happy with their deliverability rates.
