{"id":951,"date":"2010-01-15T18:08:02","date_gmt":"2010-01-15T10:08:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.whoisandrewwee.com\/affiliate-marketing\/12-hours-to-vegas-and-affiliate-summit-west-2010\/"},"modified":"2010-01-15T18:09:24","modified_gmt":"2010-01-15T10:09:24","slug":"12-hours-to-vegas-and-affiliate-summit-west-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/whoisandrewwee.com\/affiliate-marketing\/12-hours-to-vegas-and-affiliate-summit-west-2010\/","title":{"rendered":"12 Hours To Vegas and Affiliate Summit West 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ok, it&#8217;s not 12 hours till Affiliate Summit West starts, but it&#8217;ll be 12 hours till I get on the plane.<\/p>\n<p>Unless I get waylaid along the way, I should make it to most of the sessions\/events I&#8217;ve recommended in my <a title=\"affiliate summit post\" href=\"http:\/\/www.whoisandrewwee.com\/affiliate-marketing\/affiliate-summit-west-2010-updates-conference-tips-and-how-to-get-into-parties\/\" target=\"_blank\">earlier post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Yet more tips for Vegas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bring chapstick and use it: I&#8217;m no Edward Cullen, so bleeding lips don&#8217;t turn me on (most of the time anyway&#8230;) and Vegas being in the middle of the desert has pretty dry air.<\/li>\n<li>It gets cold at night: So a jacket helps.<\/li>\n<li>Static electricity: Prepare to get zapped, so don&#8217;t walk around carrying banks of RAM or hard disks in your hands. Alternatively, stand in elevator lobbies and watch people get zapped.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are some of the parties I&#8217;m planning to attend:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ads4Dough party at the Spearmint Rhino<\/li>\n<li>Nickycakes\/Neverblue\/PlentyOfFish and something called ppcbz at the Palms<\/li>\n<li>Copeac party at Tryst and XS later<\/li>\n<li>Meetup202\/Prosper202 meetup<\/li>\n<li>Ian Fernando&#8217;s Ianteract party<\/li>\n<li>ShareASale<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can see a list of parties at <a title=\"nickycakes party list\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nickycakes.com\/the-real-asw-2010-party-list\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nickycakes&#8217; party round up<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Before you post in the comments that some of the parties clash, yes, I know.
