    Carsten,
    Thanks for the feedback.

I’m still very much categorized as a text blog.

I’ll look into registering or formatting my podcasts so they’re easier to find.

Aside from creating a dedicated “podcasts” category, I haven’t really looked into registering myself as a podcast blog as rich media posts make up about 15% of my total posts.

    If you’ve any further suggestions, I’m all-ears.

    Cheers!

I peeked at Frazer’s Feed and Site

    Feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/affiliatebloguk
    Site: http://www.affiliateblog.co.uk/

He also adds a player to the post, but it also adds something to the feed that looks like this (I hope it will work, it’s HTML code).

    <P class=mediaenclosure>MEDIA ENCLOSURE: <A href="http://www.affiliateblog.co.uk/podpress_trac/feed/257/0/affiliateblog-podcast23.mp3">http://www.affiliateblog.co.uk/podpress_trac/feed/257/0/affiliateblog-podcast23.mp3</A></P>

It seems that all that is done with the WordPress plugin “Podpress”. See: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/podpress/

I would say that it is worth checking out. Making your RSS feed compatible that enclosures will be detectable is important for iTunes, Podcast search engines and people who want to subscribe to the podcast via their favorite podcast software or service.

    Hope that helps.
    Cheers!

    Carsten,
Thanks for digging that info out.

    Shoemoney’s using podpress too.

I guess I’ll be looking at podpress for my podcasting syndication.

    Thanks a bunch, man!

I just wanted to tell you that I would add your podcast to that page on my site once you have a feed that is usable for podcast services and software. 🙂

I have the list of podcasts and also resources for XML development and Data Feeds, also blogging solutions, but none to podcasting and podcast RSS syndication really.

The closest thing I have a long and comprehensive primer about what blogs, RSS and syndication is, where it came from and what it is good for.

The article is one of my older ones and titled:
Blogs, Blogging, XML, ATOM, RSS Explained in Simple Words

It’s actually pretty good. A lot of time went into it for writing it and for researching the facts.

    Carsten,
Thanks for the offer. Lemme see if I can squeeze out some time to get this podcast syndication thing figured out.

I’ll check out your resources and see if I can get podcast syndication ready by this week’s Friday Podcast.

PS: I saw that one of the booths at ASE is for cumbrowski.com. Looks like an interesting development.
