Friday Podcast: “Rachel Rofe Exposed…”

rachel rofeIf you haven’t had a chance to read my post “Watch Out For Rachel Rofe

You’ll want to read that and come back to catch my Friday Interview with her.

She’s not only one of the most knowledgeable SEO and analytics-based marketers I know, she’s someone you want to keep an eye out for.

In this interview, I squeeze the truth out of her, as she reveals…

  • How she started out as a spammer, earning $500-800 a day as a newbie
  • How she’s moved on to building real businesses, one of which is projected to reach $1m in value by Feb 2009
  • The strategies she uses to employ her goals, and how she builds her network
  • If you’re wondering about her “Internet Marketing Party Girl” moniker, I’d like to think I played a small part in that too.

She’s appeared on the cover of Woman’s World which is more popular than Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, and Forbes.

I don’t think she’s publicly talked about some of the stuff covered in the Friday Podcast, so you’d want to check it out below…

Friday Podcast: A Wide Open Market For Software Affiliates – Revenuewire’s Geordie Carswell

revenuewire geordie carswellPromoting software as an affiliate marketer can be very lucrative, as Revenuewire CEO Geordie Carswell (right) explained during our Friday Podcast discussion.

With some affiliates racking up between 800 and 1,000 sales a day and with payouts of about $25 per license, that adds up to about close to a cool $1 million in gross commissions each month.

And the good news is that the software market still has a lot of room for growth.

During our discussion, Geordie went into detail about:

  • How to evaluate software products to promote
  • Create an effective marketing campaign that will maximize your profits
  • Promoting digital products using PPC (pay per click traffic) vs SEO (search engine optimization)
  • PPC tactics that the affiliate big dogs use that you may not be aware of yet
  • Comparing the Google Search network vs the Content network

Geordie is one of the most savvy PPC marketers I have come across and it was great to get the PPC tips from him and a wealth of information about getting started as a software promoting affiliate.

Check out the Friday podcast below:

Note: Revenuewire will hold it’s official launch at Affiliate Summit West in Vegas next week. Geordie and Revenuewire team members will be at the booth in the tradeshow hall.

Social Networks Part 3: How To Maximize Your Facebook Application’s Profit Potential

In the final part of our interview, Jason Bailey (AKA Chickenhole) and I discussed how to maximize your application’s profit potential by incorporating some tips during the development, marketing and monetization phases.

We talked about the criteria a successful FB App MUST incorporate to ensure that it takes on a life of its own through viral distribution.  We also talked about how you get started, especially if you don’t have any programming skills.

If you are already developing a Facebook Application, you will want to know about the free application hosting with programming functions. This is especially critical because successful Facebook applications could have 500,000 or more daily active users a day.

To access this massive 45-minute recording, you should add the $uperRewards application.

After you have added it, you can submit your application to join the $uperRewards Developers group.

The developers group will also contain tips on application design and game mechanics and ideas for incorporating the $uperRewards application into your application and increase your monetization.

Current Facebook Application owners who have added $uperRewards have reported up to a 20 times increase in profit since adding the application.

As we are manually reviewing each application, it may take up to 48 hours to approve your application.

Friday Podcast: Social Networks Part 1 – An Insider Look With Jason Bailey AKA “Chickenhole”

jason bailey chickenholeIn this edition I had a chance to chat with Jason Bailey (right), who’s recently launched his Facebook Application $uperRewards, and he’s also one of the management team at CPA network Millnic Media.

Jason’s previously been very actively marketing on the MySpace social network and has recently focused his attention to the Facebook social network.

Hear his thoughts on how Facebook squares off against MySpace, which are the other social networks you should take note of (and generate income from).

This is part one of a 90 minute interview I conducted with Jason recently.

If you’re already in the social marketing game, this is a session you need to listen to…

Friday Podcast: Application Development Tips From Mark Wielgus – 45n5.com

mark wielgusMark Wielgus, or just “Mark” from 45n5.com (right) is one of those marketers whom you sit up and take notice of.

I found his site when he first launched his eBay-Amazon-Youtube mashup script, which lets you build an affiliate site easily. Mark has already done the API (application programming interface) work for you, so you can skip around the techie aspects and get round to the business of generating affiliate commissions.

He followed that up with his 19pages.com application, which lets you build a niche site easily, and the best thing about it doesn’t require a MySQL connection, so you can transport it from one webhosting account to another easily. If you’re into site development/site flipping, it can be a handy tool to add value to a site (and increase it’s monetization and asking price too).

He’s since gone on to launch his Top100 “make money online” blog rankings (he developed the code) and it’s generated a fair amount of buzz in the internet marketing blogosphere.

So naturally I had to have him on the Friday Podcast to pick his brains about developing software applications to boost your internet marketing efforts and to directly monetize.

We talked about the building blocks of application development, as well as monetizing your application once it’s good to go.

You can hear our thorough discussion (weighing in at more than an hour long) and hear about his latest project ShowYourAdHere.com in the latest edition of the Friday Podcast accessible below:

Incidentially, Mark is also Blog Captain for the upcoming Affiliate Summit and you can hear about the blog room facilities too.
