Kung Fu Panda’s Secret To Internet Marketing

It’s a covert message and if you didn’t know that DreamWorks Animation’s recent hit Kung Fu Panda which raked in more than $60 million in the box office, pushing out Adam Sandler vehicle You Don’t Miss with the Zohan, also contains the internet marketing million dollar formula, you should rush out and watch it now.

Protagonist Po the Panda sets out to follow his passion for Kung Fu and inadvertently is chosen by the master tortoise Oogway to become the Dragon Warrior and master the secrets of the Dragon Scroll to become the ultimate KungFu master.

The analogy is that new internet marketers also set out to become masters themselves and are looking for their own “Dragon Scroll” to become the ultimate (fill in your preferred internet marketing specialty – affiliate marketing, search engine optimization, pay per click marketing, etc).

The same secret contained in the Dragon Scroll applies equally to internet marketing, and is worth the admission price itself.

If you’ve been looking for the “secret” to internet marketing, look no further…no wonder the movie has beat out the likes of Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull and Sex and the City.

If anything, it reinforces what Deb Carney AKA Loxly mentioned in her AbestWeb “magic bullet” thread.

Here are some additional mindset elements to go with the “secret”:

  • Effort:  Some element of startup effort is needed to kick start your success. The “sitting in your boxer shorts, playing the Wii all day” takes place after your system starts yielding results.
  • Pain: Expect some level of pain in your progress. It could be growing pains, or it could be discovering what doesn’t work in your market. It’s like jogging towards your destination and expecting not to sweat along the way…it just doesn’t happen that way.
  • Goal/vision: Most things in life with few exceptions, start out as a visualized goal before they come true in reality. Having the mindset skills to create and believe in a goal, helps it come true in reality.

Haven’t seen the movie but will eventually. I bet I can guess the secret of the scroll. Is it similar to the spoon in the Matrix?

Well to me Martial Arts means respect and discipline. I have trained in different Martial arts now for well over 15 years.
I have seen various people appear and disappear but one thing
that I have noticed is clearly the respect and discipline that’s changed those peoples perception of life.
Children that have started which were on the wrong side of the tracks, always in trouble and no idea how to respect other kids. Put them in a controlled environment with discipline and fighting and they soon start to understand.
Martial arts is a great technique for kids and adults to get rid of their aggression without hurting or bullying anyone.
