Like me, you probably have heard of the buzz surrounding Britney Spears’ performance on the MTV Video Music Awards.
You would have heard the critics’ criticism that she looked like she had piled on a couple of pounds, and her outfit looked something reminiscent of what a working lady might wear walking the streets.
Additionally, you might also have read about how she was huffing and puffing (…from exhaustion) from all that dancing during her performance. It is perhaps opportune that she lip synchs to her songs, else you might have heard gasping and breathlessness more than singing.
But like any good rabid niche marketer, you would have seized the day and fired up your PPC campaigns and optimized for the keyphrases – Britney Spears, MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye West, in between checking out celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton for more keyphrases to incorporate into your PPC campaign.
Gee, I hope the ringtone offers converted well, and it wouldn’t have hurt to put in a couple of Victoria’s Secret affiliate links too. And given the MTV demographic, a couple of Blockbuster, iPod and dating offers couldn’t hurt too.
I’m sure you realize that speed and time to market are key for success in this rabid niche.
