3 Blogging Tips from WordPress Guru Gobala Krishnan

I met up with one of Malaysia’s top Internet Marketers today, Gobala Krishnan, who stopped in Singapore for a day trip.

Gobala was down to collect some equipment and we met up for lunch and hung out for a few hours.

It was a good opportunity to meet up with Gobala since I’d be marketing his WordPress blogging package since last August.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the package, do look at the page and I’m sure it’ll help you bring your blogging to the next stage, just like it has done for me. He’d also mentioned that I’m all-time top affiliate for the product.

Gobala’s been busy launching his project 100% Malaysian and has been busy preparing for his next project, due next month.

Gobala’s pretty well known and if you haven’t, you should check out GobalaKrishnan.com. What I’d found inspiring was his story about how he’d gone from a full time job to full time Internet Marketing. Read: Do I Regret Quitting My Job. It was one of my sources of encouragment in my early days.
Over the course of our talk, I also squeezed three tips to help bring your blogging to a new level.

Take it away, Gobala:

  • Target Your Niche

You can either focus directly on a niche, or approach a general topic, and differentiate yourself by your blogging style.

  • “Here’s something I learned from Andrew Wee. Participate in the community”

Participate in forums, visit other blogs, leave comments. This will help you generate traffic and build relationships with other online marketers (positioning yourself for possible joint ventures).

  • “Here’s a tip for your niche marketing efforts”

You can locate established Internet Marketing players who have produced several ebooks and videos. You can blog about them, not so much as a worship blog, but rather you can get into their affiliate program and understand their marketing system. You can also expand on the information contained in their ebooks. At the same time, you can add adsense to this blog, to derive some income from readers who don’t buy any products.

It was a good opportunity to compare our experiences and I picked up a number of new strategies which I’m planning to apply to my blogging and product creation efforts.

Did you check out Gobala’s journey?

Gobala story is very inspiring to people like me who still hold a day job. I had been wanting to quit for a while and concentrate on my online business but because I have a young family to cater for, I have to tread carefully. I have given myself another three months to put my escape plan to action.

I was reading through the secret blog weapon and I was just curious if you know people in america who have had success with this because foriegn search is different then american seo.

It seems like a really great product. How much success have you seen from using this andrew??

BTW I see you have used it and are actually on the sales page but I was hoping you could go into further detail?

    Joe:
The number of Secret Blog Weapon users is very distributed geographically.

There’s Asian, US, Canadian, Australian, European and African users.

Do note that this is a foundation product, so you’ll get schooled in the basics of WordPress optimization for traffic and SEO.

I’ll feature some of the users who’ve got good results in terms of PR and traffic.

Ade: Yeah, Gobala’s done some great things and I’m looking forward to seeing what he launches next.

Having a good plan is the most important.
If you have a good foundation, it’ll largely be responsible for the outcome you get.

WordPress Adsense as developed by Gobala has helped me setting up my first blog. Before that all that I knew about wordpress was roughly next to nothing. Mind you I’am not a techie..It has made me aware of the potentials of adsense and I have been making adsense money for more than USD50 per day with a couple of my blogs. One of them is http://www.syokkahwin.com/blog ..feel free to comments. They are other blogs that are more adsense-intensive..but hush-hush maa..hehe..

    all the best to andrew

That is some great information. I was surprised at the the traffic I was getting just from comments I leave on blogs I read daily. You always seem to forget about what you do daily!

The third tip from Gobala is really awesome. Develop a site that’s dedicated to a single marketer! I’ve thought about that but it seems not to be a good idea to me but I’ve a totally different opinion now.

    The genius has confirmed it!

[…] He’s posted about me on his blog, and we’ll be doing a product together on how to get traffic to your blogs. I was impressed by Andrew’s meteoric rise in the past few months. The blog he started early last year has already a Pagerank 5, an Alexa ranking of 11,000 and total traffic of 8,000+ visitors per month. […]
